About Us

The Villa Experience

Welcome

Since 1929, Villa Duchesne has provided an excellent Sacred Heart education centered on our students. Villa is a thriving, vibrant school, committed to excellence, relationships, spiritual development, growth, and opportunity.

Coming to a Sacred Heart school, you have entered into a family, and have come to a home."

– Life at the Sacred Heart, 1985

True to our mission, we cultivate in our students a personal and active faith in God that serves as the foundation for all that we do. We have a deep respect for intellectual values, foster a social awareness and a global view, meaningfully build community, and encourage personal growth at every level. Villa's school community is certainly special, encompassing boys and girls age 3 through grade six and young women in grades 7 through 12. We share a dedication to inspirational learning, centered on spreading the love of Christ in the world.

We Believe...

that a transformational education is made even stronger when a student truly knows and embraces their God given gifts.

Whether boys and girls in our Lower School or young women in our Upper School, Villa Duchesne students learn in a community where academics and spiritual development are inextricably linked. As a result, their minds are stretched and their hearts are inspired, deepening the relevance and resonance of every lesson.

Because when we educate the whole student in this way, they develop both the academic and self-knowledge to change the world.

1929 Until Now

From 127 boys and girls in 1929, Villa Duchesne now educates nearly 500 boys, girls, and young women, ages 3 through grade 12. Our lower school students are secure in their foundation and excited for their journey, and our all-girls middle and high school programs prepare young women to be leaders of great purpose, grounded in love. The relationships between faculty and students inspire our students to be their best for the world.

Sacred Heart

St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, the foundress of the Society, experienced her spirituality as the Risen Christ. The image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus best conveyed to her the depth of God's love for all.
