Education

Welcome

At Villa, we believe that education is transformative because it is inherently relational. Our educators work to create community, and get to know each student as an individual person with unique gifts. When our students feel safe, known, and loved, they are ready to learn. Our students demonstrate intellectual curiosity and develop depth of understanding by exploring content within the total curriculum that becomes increasingly complex, broad, and challenging. Sacred Heart students practice the skills necessary to live cooperatively in a global, technological world, fueled by an inquisitive and optimistic spirit.!

Everything we do at Villa is centered around the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education. The Goals and Criteria outlines the distinct and essential principles and timeless values of a Villa education. In the Catholic tradition of education, we welcome children of all faiths and aspire to form students who will be their best for the world. At the heart of Villa is our students. They inspire us and fill us with hope, and as educators, we truly believe they will change the world!

Early Childhood

Early Childhood

Our early childhood students begin each day with the Sacred Heart prayer: I am a child of the Sacred Heart. Each day, Dear Lord, I will love as you love, study and learn, help those who need me, be a friend to all, and make wise choices. St. Madeleine Sophie, pray for us. St. Rose Philippine, pray for us. St. John Francis Regis, pray for us. Students are exposed to a balance of learning and play in a safe and loving setting. They begin to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Lower School

Our lower school students benefit from daily PE and our immense, outdoor space. Our faculty focus on giving students a strong foundation for reading and a love of learning in these early years. Our students know they are loved by God, feel safe and secure, and grow in confidence. They form strong bonds with each other and with their teachers, and they begin their faith journey as they experience the Sacraments.

During a time when learning and knowledge grow by leaps and bounds, Villa challenges students to take risks and begin to explore their gifts and talents. Our house system provides an opportunity for students to make strong social connections and build friendships and sisterhood.
